Who we are, and what these terms cover

These terms are an agreement between you and Map AI, Inc. (Map AI, we, us), a corporation registered in Wyoming, United States, at 5830 E. 2nd St., Ste. 7000, Casper, WY 82609.

They govern your use of map-ai.co, interactive-map-ai.com, the Map AI application, its reports, AI chat and any data made available through them (the Service). By using the Service you accept these terms.

What the Service provides

Map AI presents statistics about geographic areas in the United States — demographics, income, housing, education, health indicators, commuting and traffic — compiled from public sources and normalised onto a common geography, together with Map AI’s own composite indexes and A–F ratings, which are our constructions and not values published by any source.

Part of the data is free to browse. Full access — neighbourhood reports, comparison tools, radius search, AI chat and PDF reports — requires a paid subscription.

Accounts

You need an account for most features. You may create one with an email address and password, or with Google Sign-In.

You agree to give accurate details, keep your credentials secure, and tell us at info@map-ai.co if your account is compromised. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Accounts are personal to you or to your organisation and may not be shared beyond the seats purchased.

Subscriptions, fees and refunds

Plans, prices and included limits are those shown at the time of purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until then.

Refunds: No refunds for partial billing periods.

We may change prices for future periods with at least 30 days’ notice.

You may not create multiple accounts, profiles or billing entities to avoid or reduce fees or to exceed plan limits.

Promotional codes and discounts apply as stated at the time of use and may be withdrawn.

What you may do with our data

You may view, copy, print, download and cite figures from Map AI — including in commercial work such as listing materials, market reports, client presentations and articles — provided you attribute them to Map AI and, where the format allows, link to the source page, and you do not alter the figures or present them as anything other than Map AI estimates.

What you may not do

1. Scrape, crawl, bulk-download or systematically extract the Service.

2. Resell or redistribute our data as a standalone dataset or data feed, or build a product or service with substantially similar features using data taken from the Service.

3. Trace, digitise or derive roads, buildings or other map elements from our maps, or extract coordinates from the Service for use in another product or analysis.

4. Copy or use any software, model, proprietary process or technology embodied in or described by the Service.

5. Use the Map AI name, logo or product names without written permission, except to attribute a figure as clause 05 requires.

6. Circumvent fees, plan limits, access controls or rate limits.

7. Interfere with the Service or place an unreasonable load on it.

8. Use the Service in breach of applicable law, or in the way clause 07 prohibits.

No decisions about individuals

You may not use the Service, or any data obtained from it, to make or inform decisions about specific individuals or households. That includes tenant screening, credit or lending decisions, insurance underwriting or pricing, employment decisions, and any other decision about a person based on the characteristics of the area they live in, work in or are moving to.

We are not a consumer reporting agency

Map AI is not a consumer reporting agency, and nothing we provide is a consumer report under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq.). Our data is not collected, verified or intended for any purpose listed in that Act.

Fair housing and fair lending

Using area statistics — particularly income, crime, school and health indicators — to make decisions about people may also violate the Fair Housing Act, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, and state and local fair housing, fair lending and anti-discrimination law. Real estate professionals should be aware that steering clients toward or away from areas on the basis of the protected characteristics of their residents is unlawful regardless of the data source used.

You are responsible for your own compliance, and you indemnify us under clause 15 for claims arising from such use.

Accuracy and no warranty

Our figures are estimates. Source values are survey and administrative statistics with their own margins of error, published one to three years after the period they describe; our composite indexes and ratings are editorial constructions; and values shown for small areas are interpolations.

The Service and all data in it are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted, secure or error-free operation.

AI-generated responses

The AI chat produces answers from our area data. Its answers may be incomplete or wrong, and they are not advice. Check anything important against the underlying figures and their sources.

No professional advice

Nothing in the Service is legal, financial, investment, real estate, medical or insurance advice. It is not a property valuation, an appraisal, a home inspection, a title search or a medical assessment.

Decisions you make using our data — including decisions about buying, renting or investing — are yours.

Third-party data and links

The Service incorporates data published by third parties under their own licences, including the US Census Bureau, the CDC, HUD, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Department of Education, the FBI and OpenStreetMap contributors.

OpenStreetMap data is © OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database License, and map tiles are provided by CARTO. Traffic and mobility layers are provided by TrafficZoom (Ticon, Inc.).

We link to sites we do not control.

Intellectual property

The Service — its design, text, databases, composite indexes, ratings, software and documentation — is owned by Map AI, Inc. or its licensors. Underlying public data remains subject to the licences of its publishers.

Map AI and our product names and logos are trademarks of Map AI, Inc. Clause 05 is a limited licence to use published figures, not a transfer of rights.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, unlawful use, failed payment, or where the law requires it, giving warning where it is reasonable to do so. You may close your account at any time.

Clauses 07, 08, 10, 12, 14, 15 and 16 survive termination.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or opportunity; nor for decisions taken — including property purchases, rentals or investments — in reliance on our data.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

General

If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force. A failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms without our consent.

These terms, together with the Privacy Notice and the Cookie Notice, are the entire agreement between us.

We are not liable for events beyond our reasonable control.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when. Material changes are notified to account holders by email.
